Aerialscape

The earth, seen differently.

Lines. Patterns. Land.

From the ground, we follow roads, walk through fields and trace the coastline. From above, those same places become lines, shapes and patches of colour. What first catches the eye is often something we would pass without noticing.

In my aerial photography, I look for these changes in scale: the way a road cuts across a landscape, the repetition of cultivated land, the irregular edges of rock and water. Some images describe a place; others leave just enough detail for it to become almost abstract.
